Amplifying the voices of people with disabilities in shaping the services they use and be valued of the communities in which they live.
At SJOG we provide expert care and support to meet the needs and wishes of people with learning disabilities and physical disabilities. Every person is unique, and their care needs different, therefore we offer support tailored to specific needs.
Supported Living Services
Our aim is for people to lead fulfilling independent lives while ensuring their safety, well-being and participation in their communities.
We work alongside people to build the skills and confidence they need to take charge of their own lives, make informed choices, and shape their own futures.
Our supported living services are designed to promote independence and personal choice. Each person has their own tenancy and receives tailored support with:
- Daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, and managing a home
- Budgeting and financial planning
- Accessing local services, education, and employment opportunities
- Building social connections and engaging with the community

Residential Care
People are supported to develop life skills and exert as much control over their lives as they can, with the aim of people having the opportunity to live as independently as possible.
SJOG’s residential care homes are shaped to meet the needs of the people living in them, both in physical adaptations and in the care and support that is offered.
Our support is tailored around what people need and want. People are supported to have active and engaged lives in the community in which they live.

Day Opportunities
Our day opportunities create meaningful opportunities for people to engage in work-based therapeutic activities that build skills and foster learning, and offer a diverse programme tailored to their needs, wishes and aspirations.
Activities take place in a wide range of settings within the community offering people a mix of experiences that promote personal growth, social connection and skill development. Whether through structured sessions onsite or collaborative projects with local partners, each activity is designed to reflect people’s interests and aspirations while fostering inclusion and wellbeing.
This service, Woodhall Opportunities Project, is currently provided in Welwyn Garden City Hertfordshire.
