SJOG is one of the UK’s largest provider of safe houses. We offer a safe space and specialist support for recovery and rehabilitation.
SJOG’s Modern Slavery Services provide accommodation in safehouses and outreach services to support victims of trafficking or modern day slavery.
Working in partnership with The Salvation Army as part of the Government’s Modern Slavery Victim Care Contract (MSVCC), SJOG teams across the country provide specialist support to help people to recover and rehabilitate from their experiences.
SJOG is currently one of the UK’s largest provider of safe houses for people subject to modern day slavery and trafficking, and amplifies the voices of this marginalised and vulnerable group.
All of our safe houses have specialist support teams providing trauma-informed support enabling people to recover, rehabilitate and go on to rebuild their lives.
Everyone we support receives access to a wide range of specialist services, whether that is within one of our safehouses or through our outreach support teams. This can include access to health care, counselling, financial advice, legal advice and educational opportunities.

Human trafficking is the unlawful act of transporting or coercing people through deception or use of violence in order

People are trafficked and then often forced to work in the sex trade or domestic settings; into criminal activity (such as drug dealing); into domestic servitude, marriage or have their organs removed to be sold.
