Personalised Support

Every person is unique and their care needs different, therefore each person has an individually tailored package of support to meet their needs and wishes. People are encouraged to enjoy their hobbies and choose their own holidays, outings and to participate in different events. Strong community links are developed to support people to play as full a part in the local community as they wish.

About us

Here at The Minims we provide 24-hour care and support for twelve adults with learning disabilities within two separate six-bedroomed bungalows. We aim to ensure that this is not just a place to live, but is a home and a safe environment, where people are encouraged and enabled to make their own choices and decisions in as many aspects of their lives as possible.

Accommodation

The two bungalows have been well-designed to meet the needs of the people who use the service. Each bungalow has six bedrooms, all of which are en-suite, and both have a large, airy conservatory and comfortable, wellfurnished lounge, dining and kitchen areas. People are encouraged to bring with them personal belongings and their bedrooms are decorated to their own choice. There is a large, spacious garden in which people who use this service enjoy, particularly in the summer where we hold barbecues, family events and outdoor games.

Location

Situated in a pleasant residential area in Hatfield, the bungalows are ideally located within easy reach of the amenities the town has to offer. These include shops, a cinema/theatre, community centre, library and other leisure facilities.
