About us
Our aim is for people to live as independently as possible, making their own choices and decisions about their lives.
People with special care needs, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health issues are enabled to live in their own home with the support they need to do so. This includes support to develop life skills to assist independent living, learning and working.
Accommodation
Currently, accommodation is provided for people in houses and bungalows in Scorton, Leyburn and Billingham. Each person has their own tenancy agreement and own room, which typically has en-suite facilities. People are encouraged to bring with them their personal belongings, and their bedrooms are decorated to their own personal choice. There are comfortable well furnished communal areas and pleasant gardens. Visitors are welcome at any time.

Service Overview
- Enabling people to live in their own or their family home
- For adults aged 18 or over with special care needs: learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health issues, elderly people
- Accommodation available in housing for between two and six people sharing
- Each person has their own tenancy agreement and own room
- Support can be provided from one to two hours per week to 24-hours a day
Supporting people with all aspects of living independently:
Living Skills including cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing, gardening, rights and responsibilities.
Community Living including finding out about services near their home, including day services, accessing social and community activities.
Money including paying bills, budgeting and saving, claiming and collecting benefits.
Housing, helping people to understand their tenancy, what their rights are and health and safety.
Personal care can also be provided. This is assessed on an individual basis.

We ensure that every member of the team follows a comprehensive learning pathway so that they can meet the needs of the people we support, and that service delivery is of the highest standard.
