We believe everyone should have the opportunity to live independently and to make their own choices and decisions about their lives. In our supported living services, we offer support to develop life skills to assist independent living, learning and working.

Rockliffe Court in Hurworth, near Darlington provides self-contained supported living accommodation and community facilities for people with physical and sensory disabilities.

Supporting people with all aspects of living independently:

Living Skills including cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing, gardening, rights and responsibilities.

Community Living including finding out about services near their home, including day services, accessing social and community activities.

Money including paying bills, budgeting and saving, claiming and collecting benefits.

Housing, helping people to understand their tenancy, what their rights are and health and safety.

Personal care can also be provided, which is assessed on an individual basis.

Accommodation

18 self-contained flats, all on ground level – with lounge, kitchen and bathroom and views onto gardens. A large communal area is available for use by any resident or if residents wish to come together, and an onsite laundry is also available. Situated in well-kept spacious grounds with large garden areas in the lovely village of Hurworth. Good bus links are available into the larger town of Darlington.
