Personalised Support

The needs of the person using the service are paramount in the design and delivery of the support, so we do this in consultation with each person and their families to make sure that the service we provide is based on the needs and wishes of each person. We place particular emphasis on promoting independence and encouraging choice, and enabling people to achieve as high a level of personal fulfilment as possible.

About us

Here at Lindisfarne we provide 24-hour care and support people with physical disabilities. Our aim is to make sure this is not just a place to live but is a home, and the people living here are encouraged and enable to make their own choices and decisions in as many aspects of their lives as they can and wish to.

Accommodation

The three adjoining bungalows, which opened in 1992, are purpose-built and well designed to meet the needs of the people who live here. All bedrooms are single occupancy, two of which are en-suite. All bedrooms have television points. There is a large, airy conservatory and comfortable, well-furnished lounge, snoezelen/relaxation area, kitchen and dining rooms. People are encouraged to bring with them personal belongings, and their bedrooms are decorated to their own choice. The bungalows are surrounded by pleasant gardens. Visitors are welcome at any time and there is ample parking.

Location

Situated in a pleasant residential area in the village of Haughton-le-Skerne, approximately two miles from Darlington, the bungalows are ideally located within easy reach of the amenities the village and town have to offer. These include shops and an outdoor market, a cinema and theatre, library, churches and leisure centre.
