1 Bede’s Close is a four-bedded home offering 24-hour registered care and support for people whose needs challenge services. We aim to ensure that this is not just a place to live, but is a home, and the people living here are encouraged and enabled to make their own choices and decisions in as many aspects of their lives as possible.

Personalised Support

The needs of the person using the service are paramount in the design and delivery of the support, so we do this in consultation with each person and their families to make sure that the service we provide is based on the needs and wishes of each person. We place particular emphasis on promoting independence and encouraging choice, and enabling people to achieve as high a level of personal fulfilment as possible.

Accommodation

The home, which opened in 2008, is purpose built to a high specification and has four bedrooms, all of which are en-suite. The home is decorated and equipped to a high standard throughout. The design was based on the advice and suggestions not only from the statutory bodies with whom we work in partnership, but also from the people who use the services and their carers. Individuals are encouraged to bring with them personal belongings, and bedrooms are decorated to personal choice. There are comfortable, well-furnished lounge, dining and kitchen areas and a pleasant patio area.

Location

The home is located in the village of Thornton, on the outskirts of the city of Bradford, West Yorkshire. It is ideally located within easy reach of the amenities the village and city have to offer.
